WILD THING

Leopard print + stripes, okurrrr? I usually only mix prints if they’re in the same color family, as to not overwhelm the eyes and to keep the outfit somewhat cohesive. Also, I’m trying to switch it up and NOT. WEAR. ALL. BLACK. EVERY. DAY. 

To be honest, when I first first styled this outfit I couldn't figure out if I loved or hated the pairing. I was, like, "does this work or am I forcing this to work?" *eye roll*

Anyway, I ended up loving this combination and I'm happy I ventured outside of my comfort zone! Palazzo pants are a must-have summer piece. They're suuuper versatile and incredibly comfortable. I wore them with flats instead of wedges/heels because I liked the drapey-ness for this look.

The fashion industry puts A LOT of emphasis of what's "in" and what's "out." I do, of course, have some level of appreciation for things that are current and "now," but solely focusing on that aspect of fashion is quite limiting. As long as you're happy with your outfit and wearing it confidently, that's all that matters. 

Don't be afraid to mix & match and try new things!
