PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE

One of my favorite shows is MAD MEN, and I’m a huge fan of fashion from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. As most of you know, I consider myself a spiritual person, and I strongly believe I’ve had a past life as a 1950s housewife. Unfortunately, my cooking abilities and husband haven’t carried over into this life (ha ha). Anyway, I LOVE midi skirts and I wanted to give this look a kind of futuristic feel, while also staying modern and paying homage to the popular style of the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Versatility is a must when it comes to styling, and there are so many ways to play around with outfits and make them different every time.

I’ve said before that I’m not much of a trend-follower, and one of my least favorites of 2018 was the 90s Matrix-esque eyewear. I’m still not entirely “here for it,” however… I did spot a pair that I actually liked, and it really helped me complete the look.
